We've had an unbelievable year serving amazing women all across the US. The best part of the journey has been cultivating relationships with each customer and delivering doses of happiness with every hand picked, fully styled box of outfits. In order to continue to ease the shopping process for busy women, we are working on growing our network of Stylists, speeding up turnaround times, and maintaining the quality of our service.

Starting June 21th , 2016. A deposit fee will be applicable to every box request from here on in. You will be able to further customize your ModaBox process by choosing a tier that best meets your needs. Your credit card will be charged for the deposit based on your service level, $175 for Select, $200 for Premier or $350 for Luxe. Your deposit will either be applied to the purchases you make or refunded in full the day we process your return if you don't keep anything. We feel that once we really get to know you, through your unique profile and one-on-one communication with your Stylist, you'll love Modabox! Most of our customers do. We're excited to keep styling you.

What and who is ModaBox?

ModaBox is a data driven online personal styling service that brings the latest fashions to your doorstep, powered by a team of highly experienced, industry trained stylists. We understand that time is a valuable asset and limits a modern women's commitment to style, and also that our homes happen to be the best fitting rooms. With expert styling, free shipping and returns, and the comfort and privacy of your home with no commitment, ModaBox makes looking great a seamless experience.

How does it work?

  1. Sign Up: Create an exciting style profile that will help your expert stylist find clothing that fits your body, lifestyle, and personality. Let us know your budget, the styles and colors you feel most comfortable wearing, and about any upcoming occasions like a date night or vacation! Choose to receive a Select, Premier, or Luxe ModaBox depending on your style wants and needs. You will only be charged once a Stylist begins styling your box.
  2. Stylist Creates Your Box: Based on your budget and personal preferences, our stylist will put together a range fully accessorized outfits to try on commitment-free, from the comfort of your own home.
  3. Try At Home:Take time (5 or 7 days depending on your tier choice) to discover your personally curated outfits from the comfort of your home or office. Don't be afraid to try on some daring picks! You might be delightfully surprised. Get a discount off all full box purchases. Check off the items you're keeping on the merchant copy of your invoice and slip it into the envelope included in your ModaBox along with the items you're giving back.

What are the differences between SelectBox, PremierBox, and LuxeBox boxes?

The differences between each box tier are the number of fully styled outfits included, the discount amount for a full box purchase, the length of the try on period before any returns are due back, and the deposit fee.

Will I know what I'm receiving in my box?

Not exactly. After you fill out your style profile and request your first box, our expert stylist will put together a collection of handpicked items or outfits based on your budget and personal preferences, which may change over time – it's always up to you! Sizes, personality, lifestyle, items you do/ don't wear, color/pattern preferences, upcoming occasions and a glimpse at your social media activity and pictures (only with your permission, of course!) will help us choose items that are just right for you – the beauty of this experience is the reflection of your personality combined with a pleasant surprise in every box! There's no commitment so the only question here is – why not?

How will my experience change over time?

The ModaBox service is data-driven to get better over time. We note all the items that haven't worked for you in the past to bring you a better box in the future

Can I request a specific theme for my box?

If you need specific items for a special occasion, for example “a white dress for my rehearsal dinner” or “a new business-chic wardrobe”, just let us know in the comments section when you request a box. We will do our best to find as many options as we can and stick to that theme!

Why would I choose ModaBox over a trip to the mall?

ModaBox strives to better the lifestyle of our clients by putting the fun and excitement back into shopping and looking good. Spending time in overcrowded stores, finding parking spots, paying for gas or transportation, and trying on clothing in dim and cramped fitting rooms makes shopping a chore rather than a thrill. Scouring the Internet for the right outfit can take hours, not to mention having to pay for each item before trying it on! With ModaBox, a click of a button and the comfort of your own home, time, and privacy make shopping a seamless, happy, and delightfully surprising experience. Why not?

What kind of clothing can I expect?

ModaBox carries only the highest quality pieces from resort wear, to casual, evening and business attire. Our goal is to meet the needs of a modern woman's diverse lifestyle!

I know you're based in New York, but what about the weather in my hometown?

Your style profile prompts you to enter a zip code so we can make sure to address your seasonal needs, anywhere from sunny Miami or windy Chicago.

Do I have to keep anything from my ModaBox?

Of course not, but we're pretty sure you'll like at least one piece! If you don't like what we put together for you, send everything back in the prepaid envelope and we will refund your deposit promptly upon receiving your return. You aren't obligated to keep anything in you box but we feel confident that you will love it and we will work hard to make sure you do!

How often can I request a ModaBox?

It's up to you! Request a box as often as you'd like. You can request up to two boxes per 30-day period, as long as we've received your first box back, and/or you've checked out for any/all items you decided to keep!

Can I edit my style profile?

Of course! Things change and so do we. Please let us know if any of your personal preferences have changed so we can always provide you with the best service.

Do you do size exchanges?

Yes, sizes can be exchanged and shipped for free if in stock. The original size must be returned with the rest of the return items or if separately, shipping to be paid by the client.

Do you price match?

Yes, but not with flash sale sites such as Gilt, Groupon, Zulily, Ideeli, etc. Style must be currently listed on a valid site and available in the same size and color as the original item. A working link must be sent to your Stylist for approval.

When can I expect to be contacted by my Stylist? And when will my Box be shipped?

Due to the one-on-one nature of our service, expect to be contacted by an Expert stylist no later than 3 weeks from your initial box request. From initial contact to ship can take anywhere from 2 to 7 days, depending on how soon your Stylist hears back from you, stock availability and special requests.

Shipping & Returns

How does shipping work?

ModaBox provides our clients free shipping both ways! We can ship to your preferred address and returns are simple – use the prepaid label in your box and drop off at our shipping providers location.

Can I exchange or get another size?

If the item is still in stock, we will gladly exchange a size for you, as long as you notify us within the 7-day try on period. You can do that by calling or emailing us, but make sure you ship back the item within your allotted seven business days!

What does my ModaBox experience timeline look like?

Step 1: Create your Style Profile, enter shipping information, and request a box!
Step 2: Look out for a delivery in 3-7 business days after our stylist creates your box!

Day 1: The day that your box arrives is the first of your 7-day try on period.
Day 2-6: Discover your personally styled outfits and check out if you're ready.
Day 7: The final day to ship back the items you're returning. We'll know if it's been shipped and once we receive your shipment you will be notified of a charge (only if you've decided to keep items). If you want to keep your entire box just notify your stylist by the seventh day!

What if I need more than 5 or 7 days?

If your return has not been postmarked within 5 or 7 days of receipt (5 days for SelectBox orders, 7 days for PremierBox or LuxeBox orders), we will assume you are keeping all the outfits in your box and charge your credit card for its entire value less the deposit fee. If your last day happens to be a Sunday, please make sure to ship back the box the following Monday to avoid any charges. If you need more than 5 or 7 days to return your box please let us know via email or call - your items will be subject to a 30% restocking fee.

Can I track my ModaBox?

Yes! You will be sent an email with the tracking number of your incoming box.

How do I return my ModaBox?

Drop the prepaid envelope off at your local shipping provider's location. Please make sure to ask for a receipt for your drop-off. If receipts are not present and a box was not scanned in by ​​the shipping carrier, we reserve the right to claim the box as responsibility of the client.

You cover shipping costs for the 48 contiguous states, how about Alaska and Hawaii?

We are more than happy to ship to Alaska and Hawaii! However, due to increased shipping and insurance rates, we require shipping costs be covered by the client.

Is there a discount for buying all/any items from my ModaBox?

Yes! Get Select 10% - Premier 15% - Luxe %20 off your purchase if you love and decide to keep everything from your box.

What is your promotion policy?

You can see that we're pretty generous with our promotions if you're signed up to our mailing list (if not, subscribe here). However, please note promotions cannot be combined with other promotions, used on sale items, accessories or in conjunction with promotional gift cards.

Payment & Billing

When will my card be charged?

Your credit card will not be charged when you enter it the first time upon requesting a box. Your card will be charged the deposit fee once your Stylist claims and begins styling your box. Your credit card will be charged for the deposit based on your service level, $175 for Select, $200 for Premier or $350 for Luxe. Your deposit will either be applied to the purchases you make or refunded in full the day we process your return if you don't keep anything (please allow three to five business days for the refund of your deposit to be completed by the credit card company). If you try everything on the first day and decide nothing is for you, send it all back and as soon as we get it we will refund your deposit. You are not obligated to keep your box for the full five or seven days try on period.

When do I expect to see my deposit refund?

Once we process your return, the refund will show in your account. Please allow three to five business days for the refund of your deposit to be completed by the credit card company.

Do I need to wait for the full 5-7 day trial period to end before getting my deposit back?

Absolutely not, if you have already tried on your items and are ready to make your return to speed up the refund process, simply ship back your return items and we will process the refund once we receive your return at our Headquarters.

We carry sizes 0–24W (XS–3X).

What prices can I expect?

Our prices vary per category, generally all tops range from $48-$120, dresses $78-$595, skirts $48-$150, jeans $70-$250, and blazers/jackets $78-$300.

WHAT ARE MODABUCKS?

ModaBucks can be earned or redeemed on ModaBox purchases just like cash. Existing users can earn ModaBucks by sending ModaBucks to up to five friends who don't already use our service. Once a referred client redeems their $25 in ModaBucks on a purchase of $100 or more, the existing client (you) earn $25 in ModaBucks. In either instance, ModaBucks may only be redeemed on purchases of $100 or more. ModaBucks cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.
